The breeding trials with the mother of the Sterling litter and Sterling male #1 (Nicknamed Romeo) is progressing nicely. The female (known as Baby) has had a pre-ovulation swell adn twist, and is looking bloated, awaiting ovulation. Romeo is a dilligent courter, and hopefully, he gets the job done.
Stay tuned for updates.

There's quite a bit of courtship going on between Male Sterling #1 and the Sterling litter matriarch. Hoping for good things.

|
In four more days, I will be introducing Sterling Male #1 to the Sterling litter matriarch for breeding trials. If this is a recessive gene, we should see 50% of the litter being visual Sterling Patternless, and 50% heterozygous. If successful, Sterling neonates will become available for sale after they have shed and taken 3 meals. Stay posted for news.

The momma to the Sterling Patternless Boas has 34 days left until her due date.
Can't wait to see what comes out!

Here's a sunny Sterling pics from today.

|
| The momma to the Sterling Patternless Boas is in the heat conservation position, after shedding. If all is right with the world, she should deliver her second litter on or about June 26, 2011. Holding out hope for a fresh batch of Sterlings. Keeping my fingers crossed for a female heavy litter, as the existing 5 Sterlings are 4:1 male to female.

The Sterling litter is 6 months old now. All is well and they are eating, shedding, growing like normal boas.

|
Hey, I know, this is way overdue. Here they are at 5 months. Looking awesome!

This little guy had his 2nd shed and looked like he needed to go outside in the sun.

|
The Sterling litter is 2 months old today. No surprizes. All is well. Here are a few pics.

Here's one of the Albino holdbacks to be included in the Sterling project.

|
I have held back a few 2010 albinos to contribute color to the Sterling Project and I just dropped payment on a Super Orangetail Hypo to bring a little red to the party.
This pic is from Vin Russo at Cutting Edge Herp.

|
I love the Sterlings's eyes. No split pattern. Different colors than a normal BCI eye. Pretty cool.

Hey folks,
During the first week of every month I'll be posting an update on the Sterling Boas and their siblings. There'll be plenty of pics and information so we can all share in the adventure of raisining up these animals and attempting to prove out this patternless gene.
Your comments are always welcome.
